This 1968 VW Beetle cabriolet has come into us for a full restoration and colour change. Originally from California, this Beetle is relatively rust free and requires more of a cosmetic restore than the usual ‘British’ classic car restorations that we take on.

This Beetle also has the rare semi-automatic gearbox which was quite popular in America but you don’t see many of these in the UK.

We are in the middle of doing the last few welding jobs on the body of the Spitfire Mk3 before we start filling and shaping.

The body has now been etch primed and is ready for filling and shaping before paint.

We have now blasted the body of the Jeep and have uncovered some minor rust and a couple of repairs which need attention. Once these repairs have been carried out we will begin filling and shaping the body in preparation for paint.

We had a busy week last week on the Willys Jeep. We have separated the body from the chassis and have been stripping the components off the body in preparation for it to be blasted.

Once the body has been stripped, we will remove the engine & running gear from the chassis so that can be blasted as well.

We have finished repairing the chassis and have blasted it. We have now painted and baked the chassis in black 2k paint.
